Manila Bay Sunset

This was taken at around a quarter before 6PM as the Sun was setting on a slightly overcast sky at the Manila Bay. This was the view at the back of SM Mall of Asia (MoA) near a gigantic Ferry's Wheel dubbed "The Eye at MoA."

Unlike my previous post, this one is a genuine sunset at Manila Bay.

(Photo was taken with a Canon G9 camera borrowed from my daughter).

  5. Thanks, Lou. This is my very first ever opportunity to shoot a Manila Bay sunset. I took a little more than 15 shots only. Hiram lang kasi yung camera. I noticed that there were a couple of dozens more doing the same thing as I was. In fact my son-in-law was also one of them. And he had an awesome camera.

  7. Hi Nons. I'm glad the photo brought pleasant memories to you. Actually, I also noticed many couples, young and old alike (who where not focused on shooting photos) who were sitting near the sea wall just admiring the view or just simply savoring the moment. But I observed though that "couples" these days are no longer the usual, conventional type that we were used to, i.e. boy and girl. Some of the couples were girl and girl. An example is this photo of a "couple," below.

  11. Actually, he had taken a lot of photos with that awesome camera of his but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get copies. But I'm sure they are much clearer images if not better photos.

  14. Thanks, Wi. When the sun draws its cloudy curtain then sleeps beneath the waves, it truly is a magical mystical moment.

  15. It just goes to show that it is not the camera that matters all the time, but the eyes and the mind of the one holding the camera. Inggit si Rudy sa sunset picture mo, that's his frustration until now - di makahuli ng sunset!

  16. "Makahuli ng sunset...." This is a most apt phrase to use. Afterall, there's always an element of luck involved in capturing nature's beauty.
