Manila Bay Sunset
This was taken at around a quarter before 6PM as the Sun was setting on a slightly overcast sky at the Manila Bay. This was the view at the back of SM Mall of Asia (MoA) near a gigantic Ferry's Wheel dubbed "The Eye at MoA."
Unlike my previous post, this one is a genuine sunset at Manila Bay.
(Photo was taken with a Canon G9 camera borrowed from my daughter).
How romantic...along Manila Bay..naalala ko na naman when my friends all girls, maybe we were 5 and Arno only guy, we went to CCP for a ballet evening, then walked down the famous Manila bay seaside..the moon was so clear to view..then one of us asked: "Arno, is there also moon in Germany?"....we were all stunned..hahahah..can't forget it..and this is the view..exactly this..love it!

ReplyDeleteSunsets and Manila Bay - that's a given. Nice shot, Chito!
ReplyDeleteHuwaw!!!
ReplyDeletepapa, my camera is canon G9 - not lumix
ReplyDeleteSorry, Canon pala, hehehe... Ok. editing text now. :-)
ReplyDeleteMaraming salamat Sir Hugz.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lou. This is my very first ever opportunity to shoot a Manila Bay sunset. I took a little more than 15 shots only. Hiram lang kasi yung camera. I noticed that there were a couple of dozens more doing the same thing as I was. In fact my son-in-law was also one of them. And he had an awesome camera.
ReplyDeleteSalamat DocPhil. Parang 'di nakaka-sawa ang sunset sa Manila Bay.
ReplyDeleteHi Nons. I'm glad the photo brought pleasant memories to you. Actually, I also noticed many couples, young and old alike (who where not focused on shooting photos) who were sitting near the sea wall just admiring the view or just simply savoring the moment. But I observed though that "couples" these days are no longer the usual, conventional type that we were used to, i.e. boy and girl. Some of the couples were girl and girl. An example is this photo of a "couple," below.
ReplyDeleteEujin was at it again! ha ha ha but, yes, he's got an awesome camera indeed!
ReplyDeleteOo nga no..mas open na nowadays mala SFO ang dating..
ReplyDeleteewan ko ba..there's something so awesome about sunsets on this bay...bahala na if the pollution is the cause or ano...basta, we got one of the best views in the world..thanks for sharing Chito!
ReplyDeletehmm...Lumix on your mind eh?
ReplyDeleteActually, he had taken a lot of photos with that awesome camera of his but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get copies. But I'm sure they are much clearer images if not better photos.
ReplyDeleteHehehe... sa Castro District?
ReplyDeleteHi Cat. Welcome back. Yes, the Manila Bay Sunset is truly one of the best in the world.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. Lumix on my mind (only), not in my hand :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL..bili na kc
ReplyDeleteWalang pambili, eh.
ReplyDeleteso magical! great shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wi. When the sun draws its cloudy curtain then sleeps beneath the waves, it truly is a magical mystical moment.
ReplyDeleteIt just goes to show that it is not the camera that matters all the time, but the eyes and the mind of the one holding the camera. Inggit si Rudy sa sunset picture mo, that's his frustration until now - di makahuli ng sunset!
ReplyDelete"Makahuli ng sunset...." This is a most apt phrase to use. Afterall, there's always an element of luck involved in capturing nature's beauty.
ReplyDeletesiguro Mommy Loy kay nakaatubang man god sya sa computer anang mga sunset times *wink*
